KILL Algae in seconds     SCRAPE dead algae           GONE in seconds

 Home Up

Cautions:

1)   Due to tremendous heat being generated quickly from the Therme Algae Terminator, only use it when it is fully submersed into the water in your tank. Otherwise, the device WILL BE damaged.

2)  After use, let the device cool down in the water for 2 minutes. Flush Therme with FRESH water and wipe it DRY before storage.

3)   Do not let water on the steel plate boil at one spot for more than 20 seconds at a time.   Release button to turn off power to Therme or move to another spot  when algae turn from Pink to greenish white color.

4) If water inside the steel plate area is low ( less than 1/5) after boiling, move the terminator a little bit to refill the plate with water first before boiling. Otherwise, the terminator may get overheated and damaged.

5)   Do not let CHILDREN operate and play with the device.

Operation Sequence:

 Algae Termination

1)   Plug the AC adapter into the wall outlet.

2)   Plug the output of the AC adapter into the Therme Controller.

3)   Submerse the Therme Algae Terminator into your tank and attract it to the glass by using the external magnet block 1 (low profile one).

4)   Slide magnet block 1 to the spot where you need to terminate the coralline algae and make sure that the stainless steel heating surface is under the  coralline algae spot and the device is flat to the surface.

5)   Press the toggle switch on the controller until the switch is lighted to indicate power is being applied to the Therme Algae Terminator.

6)   Through your tank glass, watch the water boil underneath the coralline Algae (about 1 minute for the first time) and release the switch to cut off power once the algae turns from pink to greenish white color or move the terminator to another spot. This process usually takes a few seconds after the water has started boiling at the spot.

Dead Coralline Algae Removal

1)   After the algae termination process, wait 5 minutes to allow the dead algae loosening its grip onto the glass.

2)   Submerse the Therme Algae Scraper into the tank and attract it to the glass by using the external magnet block 2 (high profile one).

3)   Maneuver the magnet to the dead algae spot and scrape away the dead algae.

 Brown / Soft Algae Removal

1)   Remove the scraper blade from the Therme Algae Scraper. Use a corner of the small magnet block to help sliding the blade out.

2)   Insert the Algae Scraper into the Nylon sleeve bag.

3)   Submerse the Therme Algae Scraper into the tank and attract it to the glass by using the external magnet block 2 (high profile one).

4)   Slide back and forth over the algae infected area to wipe away the algae.

5)   During cleaning, wash the nylon bag when it has trapped a lot of the algae in it.

6)    After cleaning, wash the nylon bag thoroughly with running water.

Improve Algae Removal for thick tanks

1)   Open up the magnet block 2 cover by sliding the side plate out to expose the internal magnet blocks. There are two oval shaped stops on the side plate, at the middle of the side plate, pry the plate away from the block while sliding the side plate up to expose the internal magnet block.

2)   Stack magnet block 1 on top of magnet block 2 to increase power. (Some magnet block already comes with the booster)

3)   Reassemble back the cover before using the strengthen magnet block 1+2 to perform Algae removal.
